Corgi Hill Contest!!

Published January 26, 2011 by kazkitty

Anna from Corgi Hill Farm is doing a random giveaway on ravelry!

Just post what you would want to do with the lovely fiber and you’re entered!

If you’re not on ravelry, sign up! It’s a great site, and a fantastic tool for fiberistas. Also, if you haven’t spun Corgi Hill yet, I insist you go to the shop and check it out! Anna carries wonderful, easy to spin fibers and blends, and dyes them in the most amazing colors!

Welcome to 2011!

So… first things first.

Happy New Year!! (even if I am two weeks late…)

Usually I do the typical new years resolution/goals for the year post… this year, I am not making any resolutions. Or not making a list anyways. Why? I never stick to it, so what’s the point? The only thing I have planned that I need to stick to is Project Stashdown 2011. (more on that in a bit)

2010 ended on a great note for me. I went out with the ever fabulous Jacie and Kris, and as usual, we had a blast. There was sushi, ice skating, random late night cooking, and booze.

Looking back on 2010, I think it was a pretty good year. Not the best by far… but definitely not even that close to being all that bad. I made new friends, got a new/old job I’ve been waiting for, went on a lot of adventures, tried some really awesome new restaurants, moved in with the bf, learned some new knitting skillz, and treated myself to TONS of yarn, fiber, and other fun stuff. Not everything was fantastic… my gram passed away, people moved away, work drove me crazy, and I had a root canal… but nothing else really stands out for me, which means that the year was overall a success in my book.

Right now I am really looking forward to what 2011 will bring.

One thing I KNOW it will bring is Project Stashdown 2011 (PSD ’11). What exactly is PSD’11?  It’s going to be a combination of stashing down on my yarn and fiber, as well as a finish or frog requirement. I think I have most of the rules I want to set for myself worked out, and it will be  in it’s own post. First thing I need to do is get the entire stash on ravelry… then I need to find all of my ongoing projects and figure out what I want to do with them. Eek!

Hope this year goes well for everyone!
